Political Issue Concerns:
Same-sex Marriage:
Richard Blumenthal believes that same-sex marriage is okay and it should be in Connecticut. " Civil unions performed in other states are entitled to full faith and credit in Connecticut...Out-of-state same-sex have no legal force and effect here (Richard Blumenthal)."

Foreclosure: According to copies of letters I’ve reviewed, Blumenthal instructs servicers to “treat all occupants of foreclosed properties as bona fide tenants, unless there is credible evidence to the contrary.” The letters also ask lenders to “refrain from treating the mere failure to respond to a notice as evidence that the occupant is not a bona fide tenant.”

Goal: To Get rid of foreclosures.

Political Issue Concerns:
National Security:
Linda thinks that we should have a secure security. "Our troops have to know that were are committed to their success(Linda McMahon)." This is a belief of Republicans that we should keep our troops in war.

Goal: Send the troops home!

Minimum Wage:"The minimum wage now in our country, I think we've set that, so there are a lot of people have benefited from it in our country, but I think we ought to review how much it ought to be, and whether or not we ought to have increases in the minimum wage," McMahon said at a press conference.

Goal: Review minimum wage and whether it should be lowered or raised.

Updates on Election:

• Blumenthal seems to be working his way up, and McMahon has more speeches to do to catch up.

• This has the actual scale of how the election is going. So far is seems as though McMahon cannot get her views to be seen as well as Blumenthal.

• In Connecticut, it seems as though Blumenthal will always have the lead. He is the Democrat in the whole election and it has been said that more Democrats are winning the elections than Republicans. He is winning by 9.2%. The charts are the same just opposites, which does not look good at all for McMahon.

The Result:

• I think Richard Blumenthal won because he kept his professionalism throughout the whole election. McMahon was not taken as seriosly because she has a past with television and faking things. She did not put out her ideas as wide as Blumenthal did. She had her speeches but unfortunetly did not meet her standards when it came to reaching out to the people. Blumenthal stayed focused.
